Privacy Policy

1. On-Device Processing

Mycelium runs AI inference entirely on your device. Your conversations, questions, and AI responses never leave your phone. There is no cloud processing, no API calls to external AI services, and no server that stores your chat history.

2. What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your conversations with the AI
• Your questions or prompts
• AI-generated responses
• Which questions you ask the AI or when
• Your location (unless you explicitly use geographic LoRA discovery)
• Personal information, contacts, photos, or files

3. Peer-to-Peer Network

When you connect to the Spore network to discover and download LoRA adapters, the following minimal data is exchanged:

• Your public key — a pseudonymous cryptographic identity, not linked to your real name or email
• Network endpoints — your IP address is visible to peers you connect to directly (same as any P2P network)
• Adapter metadata — which adapters you have installed (shared with nearby peers for P2P distribution)

The coordination server (Substrate) knows your public key and approximate network location for peer discovery. It never sees your conversations or adapter usage.

4. LoRA Adapters

LoRA adapters are small AI weight files (10-50MB) that specialize the base model. They are downloaded from the peer-to-peer network or from publisher bots. Adapters contain no personal data — they are mathematical weight adjustments trained on public or community-contributed datasets.

Your training data (if you train local adapters) never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share an adapter with the network.

5. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

• The base AI model (~1GB)
• Downloaded LoRA adapters (10-50MB each)
• Your chat history (stored only in app memory, cleared on restart)
• Your cryptographic identity (Ed25519 keypair)

Deleting the app removes all data permanently. There is no cloud backup.

6. Third-Party Services

Mycelium does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any equivalent.

The only external connection is to the Spore peer-to-peer network for adapter discovery and the initial model download from HuggingFace (first launch only).

7. Children's Privacy

Mycelium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
